Aman's Hat Trick Headlines Men's Soccer's Drubbing of Wells

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg's men's soccer team dominated conference foe Wells in an 8-0 shutout victory on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 9. Joey Aman recorded a hat trick and Shammah Gahomera and Sebastian Krysztofowicz each tallied two assists.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Penn State Harrisburg left no doubt in an 8-0 drubbing of United East foe Wells on Saturday afternoon. The Lions (8-1-1, 5-0 United East) dominated in time of possession and total shots (37-4), scored early and often, and never looked back in the convincing win.

Aman got things started with his first strike of the day in the 10th minute off a feed from Jose Palomeque. Less than three minutes later, it was Zach Ullum getting into the scoring act off an assist from Gahomera. Before the half was through, Aman tallied his second marker of the afternoon, this time off a find from Gahomera in the 24th minute.

It took Aman just six minutes after the break to complete the hat trick and in the blink of an eye, the Blue & White added two more markers – one from Palomeque off assists from Michael Albers and Krysztofowicz in the 53rd minute and another from Gahomera off the second helper of the day from Krysztofowicz just 35 seconds later.

With the game firmly in hand, Marc Rodgers tacked on an insurance goal following a Wells foul in the 74th minute before Tommaso Eugenio D'Attoma capped the scoring with the first goal of his young career off a helper from Darion Ferreira with 10:34 left to play.
