Lions Streak Continues With Win Over Crimson Eagles

LANGHORNE, Pa. - The Penn State Harrisburg men's soccer team continued their dominant season with a 3-2 win over the Philadelphia Biblical University Crimson Eagles.

The Crimson Eagles started the game off strong with an early first half goal from Gary Bruce and an assist from Justin Hays. The Lions quickly rallied back showcasing their depth and skill. At the 64th minute Daniel Francis (Pottstown, PA/Owen J. Roberts) scored the first Lion goal of the game with an assist coming from junior Caleb Hoppes (Harrisburg, PA/Middletown).

Ending the first half at a tie, Penn State Harrisburg opened up the second half with the drive to prevail over the struggling Crimson Eagles. Josh Clinger (East Petersburg, PA/Hempfield) gave the Lions the advantage with a goal at the 65th minute and Francis followed suit and scored his second goal of the game less than two minutes later off of a feed from Hoppes, giving Penn State Harrisburg the 3-1 lead.

The Crimson Eagles tried to recover but their lone goal in the second half from Jon Minnema wasn't enough to overcome the Lions strong performance.

PBU fell to 1-3 while the Lions remain undefeated with a 4-0 record on the year. Penn State Harrisburg faces Immaculata University on Wednesday September 15 at 6:30 PM, their last non-conference opponent before opening up NEAC play
