Nittany Lions Lose 4-2 to Abington in Quarterfinals

KEUKA, NY - The Penn State Harrisburg men´s soccer team ended their season on Thursday, November 5th with a 4-2 loss to top-seeded Penn State Abington in the North Eastern Athletic Conference Quarterfinals held at Keuka Park, New York.

 

Abington´s Elsion Pajollari started the Lions scoring in the 15th minute with an assist from Sebastian Hernandez to make the score 1-0. Senior Joshua Christ (Ephrata, PA/Living Word Academy) stuck back with a goal of his own in the 25th minute from teammate Jonathan Joseph (Arcata, CA/Arcata) to wrap up the first half scoring.

Pajollair came out of the half striking two more goals to give him the hat-trick and more importantly his Lions the 3-1 lead. Blue and white, Nik Light (Jonestown, PA/Northern Lebanon), tried grabbing back momentum with a goal in the 81st minute. Abington quickly scored to regain its two goal lead off the Alex Edwards via Hernandez.

The Nittany Lions finished their season with a 6-12 overall record, with Abington advancing to the semi-finals to face off against the University of Dallas.
