Nittany Lions fall to Cazenovia College, 3-1

MIDDLETOWN, PA - An unassisted goal by Tim Hartill just minutes into the second half pushed Cazenovia College past Penn State Harrisburg 2-1 Saturday afternoon en route to a 3-1 victory over the hosting Nittany Lions.

The blue and white cracked the scoreboard first with a Jonathan Joseph (Arcata, CA/Arcata) goal via Jeff Duke (Lebanon, PA/Lebanon) and Chris Ertle (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) in the 5th minute to give the Nittany Lions the early 1-0 advantage.

The Wildcats were able to jump on the board just before halftime with a Gregorie Ducasse cross to teammate Taras Stashkiv to tie the score at one apiece.

Cazenovia was able to pick up right where they left off with two quick goals, one in the 52nd minute by Hartill and a penalty kick by Matt Gillis in the 55th minute to insure the Wildcat victory.

Cazenovia out-shot the Nittany Lions 18-5, with 15 of those shots coming in the second half to the blue and white´s one. Wildcats held an 11-3 advantage in corner kicks.

The Nittany Lions fall to 2-7 on the season while the Wildcats improve to 4-4 overall. Penn State Harrisburg travel this Monday, September 28, to face off against the 5-2 Aggies of Delaware Valley College. Match time is scheduled for 4:00 P.M.
