Nittany Lions Roll Pass Visiting Mt. Aloysius, 10-2

MIDDLETOWN, PA - The Penn State Harrisburg men´s soccer team collected their second win of the season against non-conference opponent, Mount Aloysius, Wednesday night, 10-2.

Harrisburg´s aggressive attack featured seven different players scoring goals and five more picking up assists. Danny Francis (Pottstown, PA/Owen J. Roberts) led the attack by scoring the first goal of the game assisted by Dillion Sobilo (Miramer, FL/Summerset) and Tyson Wright (York, PA/Northeastern) in the 15th minute. Francis was also able to score two more times to complete the hat-trick, one in the 56th minute via Jeff Duke (Lebanon, PA/Lebanon) and again in the 66th minute unassisted.

Joseph Jonathan (Arcata, CA/Arcata) (18:24 mark and 80:20 mark), Michael Urich (Lewisberry, PA/Red Land) (29:24), Francis Melone(Yaounde, Cameroon/Rainforest Int.) (69:12), Duke (87:08), Sobilo (87:34) and Caleb Hoppes (Middletown, PA/Middletown) (88:22) tailed the other seven Harrisburg scores. Josh McMahon (Harrisburg, PA/Bishop McDevitt), Ryan Knight (Annville, PA/Palmyra), Jorge Avila (Harrisburg, PA/Central Dauphin East), and Joel Smith(Palmyra, PA/Palmyra) all notched assists in the game.

The Nittany Lions out shot Mt. Aloysius 46-5 in the contest, 25 coming on goal to the Mounties´ 3. The Mount Alyosius´ goals were by Mitchell Ott via Curtis Brumbaugh in the 84th minute and a penalty kick by Brumbaugh just a minute later.

The Nittany Lions look to turn their season around after losing six straight games early in the season and hope to continue this momentum into Saturday´s game against North Eastern Athletic Conference opponent, Cazenovia College. Match time is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. at the Penn State Harrisburg soccer field.
