Lions Lose on Two Late Goals

  • MIDDLETOWN, PA - The Penn State Harrisburg men´s soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to North Eastern Athletic Conference opponent, Wells College, Saturday afternoon leaving them with a 1-6 record on the season.

    It was two late game goals by Blasdimil Gomez via Justin Rigney in the 75th minute and Rigney via Delroy Roberts in the 89th minute to give the Express their first win of the season (1-5).

    The Lions attempted 16 shots, eight coming on goal, but were unable to find the net. Wells fired only 12 shots, seven coming on goal, but two were able to find the back of the net. Penn State Harrisburg held the advantage in corner kicks, 11-2.

    Harrisburg will play Mount Aloysius on Wednesday night at 6:00 P.M. at the Penn State Harrisburg soccer field.
