GANSEVOORT, NY - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announces student-athlete of the week selections for week ending Sunday, November 2, 2008 in the sports of men´s and women´s soccer.
VEDRAN DIVKOVIC (Frankfurt, Germany) was selected as the NEAC Men´s Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week for his offensive performance for the Pennsylvania State Harrisburg Nittany Lions. Divkovic, a senior forward, led the team on Senior Day with hat trick in seven shots. His final goal was the game winner in a game against D´Youville College. Divkovic now has eight goals for the season in 42 shots.
JESSI MANION (North Wales, PA) was selected as the NEAC Women´s Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week. JESSI MANION was selected for her stellar performance for the Pennsylvania State Harrisburg Lady Lions. Manion, a freshman midfielder, recorded a hat trick. Her goals included the game winner in Pennsylvania State Harrisburg´s 5-3 victory over D´Youville College. This was an extremely efficient feat with her three goals coming on just four second half shots, all of which were on goal.
