Men’s soccer team earns trip to NEAC play-in game

The Penn State Harrisburg men's soccer team is headed for its first North Eastern Athletic Conference tournament. The men's squad concluded its 2007 regular season with a much needed 6-0 win at D'Youville College Sunday, Oct. 28 to secure the fifth seed in the NEAC tourney. The Blue and White will travel to Wells College Tuesday, Oct. 30 for a tournament play-in game at 3 p.m. Coach Mark Brown's squad completed the regular conference season at 3-3-2 and 7-8-2 overall. Sunday's scoring began with a goal by freshman Danny Francis (Owen J. Roberts/Pottstown, PA) at the 34-minute mark. Francis went on to record a hat trick with goals at 53 and 88 minutes. Justin Sheaffer (Midd-West/Middleburg, PA) and Brain Clements (Carlisle/Carlisle, PA) joined the scoring onslaught with one and two goals respectively. Andrew Geib (Susquehanna Township/Harrisburg, PA) and Toan Ngo (Cumberland Valley/Mechanicsburg, PA) combined in goal to hold the host Spartans scoreless.
