LATHAM, N.Y. - Thanks to a strong performance in the first outing of the spring, Penn State Harrisburg's Tiger Xu has been named the United East Golfer of the Week. 

The most-recent accolade is Xu's second of the year after he secured the same recognition during the fall season in late September.

Xu was Penn State Harrisburg's top performer at the two-day McDaniel Spring Invitational at the Bridges Golf Club in Abbottstown, Pa. over the weekend. The sophomore shot a 78 on Saturday before carding a 77 the following day to total a 155, +11. His first effort of the spring campaign was strong enough to earn him a share of fourth place out of 84 competing golfers. 

The Lions return to action at the two-day Penn State Division III Challenge in State College, Pa. beginning next Saturday, April 2.
