MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Former Penn State Harrisburg men's golf head coach Malcolm Jackson is set to return to helm the program beginning this season.

"We are very excited to bring Malcolm Jackson on as our new head men's golf coach," said Penn State Harrisburg Director of Athletics Rahsaan Carlton. "He has a passion for preparing students for life beyond college and he has the coaching experience and leadership ability to continue building a very solid program."

During his first stint with Penn State Harrisburg from 2016 to 2018, Jackson spent two-plus years as head coach of both the men's golf team and the now-retired women's golf program. Under his guidance, four men's golfers earned Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) All-Conference recognition and four of the top seven scores in program history were achieved under his watch. On the women's side, former standout Allison Cooper secured an NCAA Division III national ranking after winning three individual invitational championships under his tutelage in 2017.

"I am very excited about the opportunity to return to Penn State Harrisburg as the head golf coach," said Jackson. "Sharing what I have learned throughout my involvement in the game of golf and life is truly my passion. The program has made great strides since I was last involved and is knocking on the door of higher levels of success. I look forward to doing my part in assuring the bus continues to move in the right direction and that the young men involved have the best opportunities to obtain achievements, both academic and personal, that will sustain them for a lifetime."

Prior to his time at Penn State Harrisburg, Jackson was the head coach at nearby Elizabethtown, his alma mater, for three seasons after serving as an assistant coach the previous two years. While with the Blue Jays, he helped develop a program that eventually produced a PING Pre-Tournament All-American in Charlie Haines.

Jackson's collegiate career included receiving a full scholarship offer from NCAA Division I-AA program South Carolina State and he's had the opportunity to staff PGA Tour event and return to local amateur competition in the years since. Outside of golf, he serves as a Franchise Business Consultant and is a partner in several private corporations focused on improving daily living.

Jackson graduated from Elizabethtown with a degree in Business Administration. He currently resides in Harrisburg, Pa. with his wife and two daughters.
