Men's Golf Completes Day One of Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic

ALTOONA, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg's men's golf team was in action on day one of the Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic, hosted by Penn State Altoona at the Sinking Valley Country Club on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 21.

 

After the first day of competition, the Lions sit ninth out of 15 competing teams with a total score of 353. Andrew Fink had a strong outing, shooting a 77; a number good enough to rank him tied for fifth out of 82 total golfers.

 

Following Fink in the Blue & White scoring contingency was Luke Ehler with an 88, Josh Swartz with a 92 and Montana Gleason with a score 96. Tyler Mallon shot a 99 to round out the group of Penn State Harrisburg competitors.

 

The Lions will wrap up their weekend at the Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic when they take part on the final day of the tournament, hosted by Mount Aloysius, at the Summit Country Club in Cresson, Pa. on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 22.
