Third Best Road Score for Nittany Lions

DANIELSVILLE, PA - The Penn State-Harrisburg golf team finished fifth, out of 19 teams, at the Moravian College Spring Classic today, posting the third-best road score in team history.

The Lions shot a team total of 320 over the 6,450-yard layout at Woodstone CC in Danielsville.  Penn State-Harrisburg was led by Geoff Morrison (Jr-Bishop McDevitt) who shot 78, and Max Hrip (So-Cumberland Valley), who fired a 79.

Other Lions' scores included Shane Woodman (Jr-Donegal), with an 80, Bobby Proietto (Fr-Lower Dauphin), with an 83, and Brad Goss (Jr-Palmyra), with an 84.

Penn State-Harrisburg's two highest road scores are a 317 from the fall 2007 Penn State-Berks Invitational (Fox Chase GC) and a 319 from the second round of the Northeast Athletic Conference championship last spring (Cazenovia CC).

Franklin & Marshall's 310 edged Messiah by one stroke, although Messiah's Matt Burkhart was the medalist with a 74.
