MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg women's volleyball team earned a 3-1 victory over non-conference opponent Marywood on Tuesday night, Sept. 27.

Anna Ruff and Tiniira Tubo were electric on the offensive end, where they both produced 13 kills out of 26 attempts. Once again Alyssa Snyder was an unwavering force at the setter spot for the Lions, while Olivia Koicuba and Megan Morris led the way on defense.

The first set began with a back-and-forth battle, but the Blue & White saw an opening after a kill from Snyder to Emmaline Stevens to put them up 20-13. The Lions added two more points to the board when Morris served a pair of aces back-to-back and after that, the set was at hand. The second set proved to be the hardest for Penn State Harrisburg, as they were playing catch-up the entire time and the Pacers came out with the win.

Marywood gained the largest lead of the third set quickly, when they got up by seven points 5-13 off a service ace. However, the Lions clawed their way back and forced multiple set points to finally pull away with the set 30-28. In the fourth and eventually final set of the match, Penn State Harrisburg and the Pacers were toe-to-toe for some time before the Blue & White hit the 20-point mark and finished the match with a score of 25-16.
