How It Happened

Penn State Harrisburg fell in straight sets to the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) leaders from Morrisville State in the first outing of a tri-match on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 19.

The Lions (10-11, 4-3 NEAC) fell behind by as many as eight points in the opening set before battling back and cutting the deficit to one in the closing moments thanks to three consecutive kills from Brittany Ebaugh off assists from Alyssa Snyder. Unfortunately, the rally would fall short as the Mustangs (15-6, 7-0 NEAC) closed it out on a service error.

After falling behind 10-4 in the second set, the visitors drew to within three points but it was all Morrisville State from there on out. The Blue & White faced another early deficit in the third set but used a late 6-to-3 run capped by an Ebaugh solo block to stay alive but that's as close as the Lions would get.
