How It Happened
Penn State Harrisburg fell in the first outing of the team's tri-match to Stevenson 3-0 on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 5.
The Lions built an early 5-3 lead in the opening set, powered by a block and kill from Brittany Ebaugh. Ebaugh would lead the team with six kills The Mustangs would recapture the lead thanks to a balanced offensive attack, and keeping Harrisburg from stringing points together. Stevenson would take the set 25-19.
In the second set, Harrisburg would find themselves trailing 11-6 midway through the set. The Lions would get consecutive kills from Melanie Sheaffer, Cheyanna Buckingham, and Katelyn Krieder to pull within two points. The Lions would continue to battle, tying the game at 13 with a service ace from Alyssa Snyder. That sparked a four-point run, giving Harrisburg a 17-13 advantage. The Mustangs would answer back with a 9-1 run to capture the second set. Using that momentum, Stevenson powered to a 25-13 win in the third set, clinching the victory.

How It Happened
Penn State Harrisburg dropped a heartbreaking five-set thriller to Wesley to close out the team's tri-match action on Saturday.
The team traded points in the early going, with Wesley taking a five point advantage. The Lions would begin to rally back, sparked by back-to-back kills from Katelyn Kreider to pull within a point, 20-19. Brittany Ebaugh would give Harrisburg the lead in the set with a pair of kills and a block. Leading 25-24, a Megan Morris service ace would close out the Lions opening set victory.
The Wolverines would respond, powered by a game high 23 kills from Emily Waldridge they would take the second set 25-12. Despite a late rally in the third set, Wesley's offense proved to be too much for the Lions giving them a 2-1 lead in the match.
Harrisburg needed to win the fourth set to stay alive in match. The Wolverines took a commanding 7-0 lead to open the set, but Harrisburg would answer right back with a six-point run of their own. The teams would trade the lead back in forth during the fourth set. Harrisburg would use kills from Kreider and Buckingham to capture the set, sending the game into a fifth set. The Wolverines proved to be too much from the Lions, scoring four straight points to win the match 3-2.

- Katelyn Kreider had an outstanding game posting a double-double with 14 kills, 16 digs, and five service aces
- Brittany Ebaugh recorded 14 kills and had three solo blocks
- Melanie Sheaffer posted 10 kills
- Megan Morris led the defense with 27 digs
- Alyssa Snyder posted a double-double with 24 assists and 12 digs
