Penn State Harrisburg Finish Non-Conference Strong

Penn State Harrisburg traveled to take on Penn College in their final non-conference match of the year. The Lions came out on top, taking the match by the score of 3-1 (25-19, 25-13, 26-28, 25-13).

Penn State Harrisburg came in to the match up looking for to gain a confidence boost after a few rough few weeks. The Lions came out strong, beating Penn College in the first two sets 25-19 and 25-13, before the Wildcats would take a hard fought third set 28-26. The Lions would bounce back, flexing their muscles and taking the final set and the match 25-13.

Leading the way for the Lions was Melissa Orlandini (Harrisburg, Pa. / Central Dauphin) who boasted eight kills and 14 digs on the night. Also with strong performances for the Lions was Kari Ammerman (Troy, Pa / Troy Area) who had 14 digs and Madison Chace (Paso Robles, Ca / Cedar Cliff) who led the team with 11 kills.

The Lions will take the court next this upcoming Wednesday October 14th when they take on conference foe York College (Pa.) at home starting at 7 P.M.
