MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Evenly matched with 2-9 records, the Lady Lions looked to take the upper hand against Valley Forge Christian College Thursday night. Penn State Harrisburg hopped out to a 15-2 lead in the first set and never looked back. The Lady Lions forced a plethora of errors aiding in their 25-8 win in the first match.

Equally as dominant in the second set, the Lady Lions outscored the Patriots 25-9, bringing the score 2-0. Penn State Harrisburg easily took the third and final set of the evening, 25-14, giving them the 3-0 win over the visiting Valley Forge Christian.

Penn State Harrisburg only allowed a total of 31 points in three sets from Valley Forge in their most commanding performance of the season. Despite their vocal fan presence, the Patriots never came close to defeating the Lady Lions.

Penn State Harrisburg will face their first conference opponents this weekend in the NEAC South Tournament at Penn St. Abington. On Saturday the Lady Lions will face College of St. Elizabeth at noon and Penn State Abington at 4:00 PM and on Sunday they will meet Gallaudet University and Penn State Berks, at 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM respectively.
