Lions Fall In NEAC Quarterfinals

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - The Penn State Harrisburg women's volleyball team suffered a season ending loss to SUNY IT in the NEAC Quarterfinals on Friday. The Lady Lions entered the NEAC tournament as the #3 seed and were matched up with #2 seeded SUNY IT, the 2009 runner up. Unable to overcome NEAC most valuable player Julie Vedder's performance, the Lady Lions fell in all three sets to take the game 3-0 (25-19, 24-14, 25-17).

Finesse Hempfing (Hanover, PA/Hanover) led the Lady Lions with a team high 9 assists as well as 1 kill, 5 digs and 2 aces. Morgan Madden (Towanda, PA/Towanda) and Chidere Igwe (West Orange, NJ/West Orange) each added three kills in the Lady Lions final game of the season. The Lady Lions finished the 2010 season 10-22.
