READING, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg's women's basketball team struggled in the first half before finding its groove after halftime in a 100-68 road victory over United East foe Penn State Berks on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 27.

Bailey Oehmig went 7-of-19 from 3-point range en route to a career-high 29 points for the shorthanded Lions, while Mikayla Wright and Ali Lister added 16 points apiece. Lister also grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out 10 assists, while Nicole Hernandez (14) and Jenna Montana (10) also reached double figures.

Penn State Harrisburg (10-11, 7-1 United East) fell behind 14-4 midway through the first quarter but cut the deficit to a more-manageable four entering the second frame. The visiting Lions pulled ahead for the first time when Oehmig connected on a 3-ball to make it 25-24 with 8:06 left in the first half.

Penn State Berks (1-17, 0-8 United East) hung around, however, and led 41-40 as late as the 2:08 mark of the opening half before a Montana triple, four straight points from Wright, and a Hernandez layup gave the visitors some breathing room at 49-42 heading into the break.

The visiting Lions put it together in the third quarter and outscored the home team 28-10 in the period to lead by 25 heading into the fourth. In the final frame, Penn State Harrisburg stretched the advantage to as many as 36 points before burning a timeout with 2:34 left to play.

Despite a late turnover and a trio of 3-point attempts missing their mark in the closing seconds, the visitors reached the century mark to complete the season sweep of Penn State Berks and reclaim the top spot in the United East Volt Division standings.
