MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg's women's basketball team coasted to a 74-44 victory over United East opponent Penn College at the Capital Union Building on Wednesday night, Jan. 24.

Giahny Correa led the way with a game-high 20 points, while Ciani Redd-Howard finished with 13 points of her own. Abril Bowser was the third player to reach double figures with 10 points. However, the spotlight was on Jayla Galbreath, as she scored her 1,000th career point and became just the fourth player in program history to accomplish the impressive feat.

After a back-and-forth battle throughout the first quarter, the Lions (9-11, 6-1 UE) started to get the lead in the second thanks to the historic 1,000-point marker from Galbreath. With just under three minutes left before halftime, Correa handed the ball off to Galbreath before the senior buried a step-back three from the right wing to get 1,000 points on the dot.
