Women's Hoops Ends Skid With Win at Rutgers-Camden

CAMDEN, N.J. – Penn State Harrisburg's women's basketball team ended its recent skid in impressive fashion with a convincing 66-49 non-conference victory at Rutgers-Camden on Wednesday night, Jan. 3.

 

Jayla Galbreath netted a team-high 15 points, while Mikayla Wright added 13 of her own. Nicole Hernandez was the third player to reach the double-digit scoring mark with a dozen points. Bailey Oehmig nearly had a double-double, finishing with nine points and a team-high nine rebounds.

 

NOTABLES

- The Lions shot 41.4 percent from the floor and held Rutgers-Camden to 34.7 percent shooting from the field.

- Penn State Harrisburg hit eight 3-pointers. The Scarlet Raptors managed just four 3-balls.

- Galbreath netted a team-high 15 points and grabbed five rebounds.

- Wright finished with 13 points, seven boards, and four assists.

- Hernandez chipped in with a dozen points.

- Oehmig finished one point and one rebound shy of a double-double with nine points and nine boards.

- Ali Lister added nine points, five rebounds, and four assists.
