ARLINGTON, Va. - Penn State Harrisburg's women's basketball team was edged by Case Western Reserve 70-61 at Marymount University's Pablo Coto Tip-Off Tournament on Friday night, Nov. 17.

Giahny Correa led the Lions with 17 points, while Jayla Galbreath netted 11 points and added seven rebounds on the night. Ciani Redd-Howard had a team-best nine rebounds and Jenna Montana provided six assists.

Penn State Harrisburg (0-4) and Case Western Reserve (2-1) were neck-and-neck throughout the entire game, and the score was 36-32 in favor of the Spartans going into the second half. Bailey Oehmig started things off strong for the Blue & White with back-to-back 3-pointers to give the Lions the lead.

In the last three and a half minutes of the second quarter, both teams were exchanging shots from behind the arc in an impressive fashion. Montana and Mikayla Wright both buried shots from far out, before Galbreath netted one of her own with 18 seconds left in the quarter.

The Spartans came out in the fourth quarter with a 7-0 lead, but Correa and Redd-Howard had two consecutive drives to the basket to keep the game within one point. Both Correa and Oehmig scored clutch 3-pointers midway through the last quarter, however a few untimely turnovers plagued the Lions and put the things out of reach late in the game.
