Steph Yetter (Thompsontown, Pa. / East Juniata) showed up in triple threat position from the tip off and helped lead the lions to an early lead by scoring 8 of the first 12 points in a 14-2 run that started the first four minutes of play.  Yetter and Amanda Moyer (Carlisle, Pa. / Cumberland Valley) the teams only seniors, have consistently been bringing their leadership and all around performances helping their young squad to mature quickly.  Moyer had 13 points, 8 rebounds, 2 steals, and one blocked shot in tonight's performance.  

The lions were not happy with just a strong start.  Lucky Snypse (Philadelphia, Pa. / George Washington Carver of Engineering and Science) came in off the bench and went straight to the paint that she loves to dominate.  Even with Altoona's 6-2 center guarding the basket, Snypse was able to score 15 and get their center in foul trouble early. 

Harrisburg finished the last five minutes on a 12-6 run that ended the first half with a score of 44-22.  

The second half started just like the first for Harrisburg as they went on another early run.  After a Lucky layup, Harrisburg went up by 30 points with 11:19 to go in the game and a score of 61-31.  

Altoona, despite being down by 30, did not quit and was able to cut the deficit in half by the end of the game.   

"Steph Yetter had the hot hand to start the game and got us started, then Lucky came in off the bench and added a spark inside while also getting their big girl in foul trouble." Coach Patrick continued with "everyone got an opportunity to step on the court and contribute tonight, not much more a coach can ask of his team. "

Harrisburg ends the first third of their season 6-2 overall and 3-0 in conference play heading into the semester break.   They will host Goucher College January 2nd at 6:00 to start their 2013 campaign.
