Dixon, Foose Earn NEAC All-Conference Honors

MIDDLETOWN, Pa.- It was announced today that that Penn State Harrisburg senior guard Dorothea Dixon  (Middletown, PA/Middletown) and junior forward Daril Foose (Altoona, PA/Altoona) have been named to the North Eastern Athletic Conference's (NEAC) all-conference second-team for their stellar play during the Lions' extremely successful 2011-2012 campaign.

Dixon, one of this year's team captains, consistently filled the stat sheet throughout the season.  She averaged 8.2 points per game to go along with her 5.7 rebounds per contest average.  The ex-Raider was both the team and conference-leader in assists, averaging 5.5 per game, good enough to rank her 11th in the nation.  She also topped the NEAC in steals, averaging 4.5 swipes per outing.  That impressive number was good enough for sixth-best in the country.  Dixon made a little history this season as well, when she became just the ninth woman in NCAA history across all divisions to record an ultra-rare quadruple double.  This is the second time she's been named to the NEAC's all-conference squad as she was a third-team selection in 2009-2010.

Foose, a 2010-2011 first-team all-conference selection and another of this year's team captains, earned the conference's accolade despite battling through a shoulder injury for the latter half of the season.  Though her playing time average dropped to 27.7 minutes per outing, the Altoona grad was still Penn State Harrisburg's leading-scorer, averaging 12.8 points per game; good enough to rank her 12th in-conference.  She was also the Lions' second-leading rebounder, averaging 8.1 boards per contest.  Foose was very efficient when on the court as she shot 45.9 percent from the field, placing her third in the NEAC's ranks.  She also led the conference in blocked shots per game with a 3.0 average, placing her 13th nationally in that statistical category.
