Foose Named to All-Conference First-Team

GANSEVOORT, NY - The NEAC concluded its regular season over the last weekend and has selected is regular season awards. On the women's side, Keuka College and Gallaudet University tied for first place both achieving a 20-2 regular season record. Gallaudet University will host the women's tournament.

The NEAC selected the Women's Basketball All-Conference Teams today where the top 15 players, as selected by their coaches, received first, second, and third team honors. The NEAC also selected Easter Faafiti of Gallaudet University, as the Player of the Year. Faafiti, a senior forward, finished the season with 533 points (21.3/game), 336 rebounds (13.4/game), 109 assists, 100 steals, 1 block,135-of-187 from the free throw line (.722 from the line), and an overall shooting percentage of .540. Faafiti was selected five times this season as Athlete of the Week.

Sophomore Daril Foose (Altoona, PA/Altoona) represented the Lady Lions as a 1st Team All-Conference selection for her efforts this season.

Gallaudet University coach Kevin Cook was selected by his peers as the NEAC Coach of the Year. Coach Cook led his team to an 22-2 overall record (20-2 in conference play) and the number one seed in the NEAC tournament.

The Lady Lions will travel to Galludet University this weekend to face SUNY Cobleskill at 3:00 PM on Friday, February 25, 2011
