Keuka Ends Ladies Season In NEAC Semis

WASHINGTON, D.C.- For the second season in a row Keuka College ruined the Lady Lions chances of a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) championship. Keuka College downed the Lady Lions 71-59 on Saturday afternoon in the NEAC semi-finals. Dorothea Dixon (Middletown, PA/Middletown) led the Lady Lions with a season high 17 points, 7 rebounds and 6 steals.

After an early Dixon layup, the Lady Lions led until the 11:38 minute mark when Storm player Megan Englebert laid in two points. The Storm went on to lead for the rest of the game by as many as 26 points.

The Lady Lions struggled to hit shots, shooting just 28.6% from the floor and shooting 6-of-26 from the three-point line. Daril Foose (Altoona, PA/Altoona) was able knock in 4-of-7 for 11 points.

Brittany Schrock poured in 21 points, shooting 6-for-10 from the arc to help the Storm advance. Tomorrow, Keuka will face #1 Gallaudet University for the NEAC Championship.

The Lady Lions finished with an 18-9 record for the 2010-11 season breaking the school record for women's basketball wins.
