Ladies Conference Win-Streak Continues

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - The Lady Lions of Penn State Harrisburg captured their fourth straight conference victory over the visiting Morrisville State Mustangs, 59-46, on Sunday. Daril Foose (Altoona, PA/Altoona) paced the Lady Lions with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks.  

Sunday's game proved to be a physical clash for both teams but with solid rebounding and quick transition the Lady Lions came out on top. The score yo-yoed back and forth until the Lady Lions went on a 16-5 run to the first half to gain a 28-15 lead. Sophomore Stephanie Yetter (Thompsontown, PA/East Juniata) steered the Lady Lions in the first half with 9 points.

Penn State Harrisburg controlled the second half, leading by as many 22. The Lady Lions pulled down an impressive 53 rebounds to the Mustangs 29 caroms to give them countless second chance opportunities.

Dorothea Dixon (Middletown,PA/Middletown) had notable numbers across the board with 4 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals.  

Nijah Townsend led the Mustangs with 18 points. Nijee Scott added 13 points and six steals as Morrisville dropped to 2-11.

The Penn State Harrisburg Lady Lions will return to NEAC action next weekend as they host SUNY IT on Saturday, January 22 at 12:00 PM and SUNY Cobleskill on Sunday, January 23 at 2:00 PM.
