Wildcats´ Late Run Sink the Lady Lions

CAZENOVIA, NY - The Penn State Harrisburg women´s basketball team lost 78-69, Saturday January 2nd to the Wildcats of Cazenovia College despite a 19 point effort by sophomore guard, Dorothea Dixon (Middletown, PA/Middletown).

Freshman forward, Stephanie Yetter (Thompsontown, PA/East Juniata), collected her first career double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds while teammate Brittany Adams (Dillsburg, PA/Northern) tailed 12 points and 7 rebounds going 6-for-14 from the field. Freshman forward, Daril Foose (Altoona, PA/Altoona), contributed 12 points, six rebounds and three blocks in just 21 minutes of play in the losing endeavor.

The first half featured seven ties with the hosting team leading at halftime, 35-34 capped off by a go-ahead three pointer by Cazenovia´s Cassi Hall with four seconds remaining.

After nine lead changes and eight ties, the game stood at 67 apiece with 2:48 left to play. From there, Cazenovia finished the contest with an 11-2 run to secure the victory.

Colleen Clarke led the Wildcats with 22 points and 14 rebounds with three of her teammates joining her in double figures with Hall finishing with 18 points, Megan McDernott with 16 points and Alyssa Lubeck with 12 points.
