Adames Brings Home NEAC Honors for Second Time

    GANSEVOORT, NY - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announces student-athlete of the week selection for week ending Sunday, December 14, 2008 in the sport of women´s basketball.

    SANDRA ADAMES (Pontiac, MI) was selected, as the NEAC Women´s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week. Adames, a 5´11" senior center for the Penn State University Harrisburg Nittany Lions, was selected for her strong offensive performance for the week leading her team to a 1-0 week. Adames finished the week with 21 points (21/game), 15 rebounds (15/game), 2 assists, 2 blocks, 1 steal, and a .667 shooting percentage. Adames recorded her eighth double-double in nine games and receives this award for the second time this season.
