Lady Lions Cruise by Tigers

Middletown, PA - The Penn State Harrisburg women´s basketball cruise pass visiting Tigers of Trinity College DC, 56-32. This win puts the Lady Lions at 10-10 for the season with the Tigers falling 1-11 overall.

The Lady Lions´ came out slow to start the first half of play only scoring seven to the Tigers four points in the first five minutes. The blue and white then turned out a 23-10 run to finish the half powered by senior Sandra Adames (Pontiac Northern/Pontiac, MI), senior Krystal Miranda (Bound Brook/S. Bound Brook, NJ) and freshman Dorothea Dixon (Middletown Area/Middletown, PA) who scored a combined 27 of the Lady Lions´ 30 halftime points.

In the second half Penn State Harrisburg stretched their lead to as much as 27 before finishing off the Tigers 56-32. The blue and white´s triple threat continue to carry their team combining for 22 of the Lady Lions´ 26 second half points.

The Lady Lions were led by Adames as she recorded her 15th double-double on the season with 24 points with 15 rebounds as well as shooting 10-for-15 from the field. Miranda finished with 14 points with three rebounds and three steals. Dixon tailed her first career double-double on the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds. She also added four assists and four steals.

The Tigers were led by Stefonie Kelly who scored 19 points as well as grabbing 12 rebounds. Danielle Pettis chipped in with 13 points and six steals. Lakeshia Johnson helped out on the boards totaling 10 for the game. The blue and white look for revenge as they head to Penn State Berks Tuesday February 10th. Tip time 6:00 P.M.
