Penn State Harrisburg Sweeps NEAC Student-Athlete of the week selection

GANSEVOORT, NY — The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announces student-athlete of the week selections for the week ending January 20 in the sports of men's and women's basketball.

SETH LEWIS (Lower Dauphin/Grantville, PA) was selected as the NEAC Men's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week. Lewis, a 6'2" sophomore guard for the Penn State Harrisburg, was selected for his outstanding offensive and defensive performance for the week leading his team to a 3-0 week in conference play. Lewis finished the week with 63 points (21/game), 33 rebounds (11/game), 17 assists (5.6/game), 3 steals, 1 block, 4-for-10 from 3-point range, 9-for-9 from the free throw line (1.00 from the line), and a .455 shooting percentage. Lewis's performance was highlighted with 25 points, 11 rebounds, and 9 assists in his team's conference win over D'Youville on January 20th. 

Sandra Adames SANDRA ADAMES (Pontiac Northern/Pontiac, MI) was selected as the NEAC Women's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week. Adames, a 5'11" junior center for the Penn State Harrisburg, was selected for her strong offensive and defensive performance for the week. Despite her team's losses, Adames finished the week with 53 points (17.7/game), 48 rebounds (16/game), 5 assists, 4 steals, 7 blocks, 9-for-14 from the free throw line (.643 from the line), and a .478 shooting percentage. Adames recorded three double-double games this week with 26 points and 15 rebounds, 14 points and 17 rebounds, and 13 points and 16 rebounds in her three conference contests. Adames receives this award for the second time this season.
