Coach Donny Smith is beginning his third season as an assistant tennis coach at Penn State Harrisburg. Coach Smith graduated with a degree in Political Science from Penn State Harrisburg; and also has earned a certification from the Professional Tennis Registry.
Prior to becoming an assistant coach, Coach Smith played under Head Coach Becky Cecere during his time at Penn StateHarrisburg from 2005-10. He was a four-year varsity letter winner and served as a team captain.
In addition to his duties as assistant tennis coach, Coach Smith works as a lobbyist for the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association in Harrisburg, PA; head coach of the middle school boys basketball program at Red Land in Lewisberry, PA; guest services representative at the Hershey Racquet Club in Hershey, PA; and serves as treasurer of the Central Dauphin Area Basketball Association.
Coach Smith currently resides in Harrisburg, PA, where he was born and raised.
