MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg's men's soccer team picked up a key 2-1 conference victory over United East rival Lancaster Bible to improve its postseason positioning on Wednesday night, Oct. 18.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Penn State Harrisburg (6-4-6, 2-0-2 United East) broke open an evenly-matched game in the second half to emerge victorious over Lancaster Bible (6-8-2, 3-2-0 United East) and nab a valuable conference victory on Wednesday night with less than a week remaining in the regular season.

After more than 50 minutes of scoreless soccer, Jaden Longdon broke the scoreless tie with a pretty goal off his left foot in the 56th minute before Josh Rodgers doubled the advantage by pounding home a loose ball in the box in the 79th minute.

The Chargers cut the deficit in half when Sam Glock converted a free kick following a Penn State Harrisburg foul from just outside the box in the 82nd minute but the Lions stifled the visitors' comeback attempt in the final five minutes to seal the win.
