Men's Soccer Trio Tabbed All-Region by United Soccer Coaches

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Penn State Harrisburg men's soccer players Joey Aman, Jose Palomeque, and Michael Albers have earned United Soccer Coaches (USC) All-Region recognition, as announced by the organization on Monday afternoon.

Aman was named to the USC All-Region IV First Team, Palomeque received second-team all-region recognition, and Albers was selected to the all-region third team.

Aman's most-recent accolade comes after he was tabbed the United East Offensive Player of the Year. He was also named to the United East All-Conference First Team. The senior racked up an impressive 29 total points on the season thanks to 12 goals, including five game-winners, and five assists. The Annapolis, Md. native netted the game-winning marker in a win over No. 2 Messiah in late-October and tallied five total points in a 3-2 victory at No. 3 St. Mary's (Md.) in September. He was twice named the United East Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts (10/11, 11/1).

Palomeque's honor comes after he was named to the United East All-Conference First Team earlier this year. The graduate student netted eight goals, including a game-winner in a victory over Neumann in September, and added 10 assists to tally 26 total points on the season. Thanks to his efforts, the Quito, Ecuador native was named the United East Offensive Player of the Week in early October.

Albers secured his accolade after leading a stout defensive unit that surrendered just 0.54 goals per game and posted 10 shutouts this season. The graduate student buried four goals, including a pair of game-winning scores, and added four helpers to tally a dozen total points this fall. The Southampton, Pa. native was named to the United East All-Conference First Team after earning conference defensive player of the week honors on two occasions (9/6, 10/25).

The efforts of all three players helped lead the Lions to their first-ever national ranking, as well as their second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance after winning the program's second straight conference championship this fall.
