Men's Soccer Ranked No. 25 In USC National Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the first time in program history, Penn State Harrisburg men's soccer is nationally ranked. The Lions earned the No. 25 spot in the latest United Soccer Coaches (USC) Division III Top 25 Poll. The Blue & White also held steady at No. 3 in the organization's regional rankings. 

  

Fresh off a dominant victory over United East foe Gallaudet on Saturday afternoon, the Lions (10-1-1, 6-0 United East) broke into the national rankings for the first time. Penn State Harrisburg also held tight to the No. 3 spot in the USC's Region IV rankings. Montclair State holds the top spot in the region, while New York University (NYU) earned the runner-up position. Rowan ranks one spot behind the Blue & White at No. 4 and Rutgers-Newark rounds out the top five. Penn State Harrisburg has faced two nationally and regionally-ranked teams this season in Franklin & Marshall and St. Mary's (Md.). 

  

Through 12 games, the Blue & White lead the nation in scoring offense (4.08), points per game (12.75), assists per contest (4.58), and total assists (55). shots on goal per game (12.25). They also rank top five in goal differential, shots per game, shot on goal per game, and total points. 

  

The Lions continue conference play when they travel to face United East foe Lancaster Bible on Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 20. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m.
