Men's Soccer Keeps Rolling With Shutout Win Over Juniata

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg picked up a 2-0 victory over Juniata in non-conference play on Tuesday night, Oct. 12 to remain unbeaten in the last eight games. Joey Aman continued his strong play of late, netting both goals in the win, and the Lions earned their seventh shutout of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Behind another stellar offensive performance from Joey Aman and a collective defensive effort, the Lions (9-1-1) blanked Juniata (3-5-2) on Tuesday night.

Aman, the reigning United East Offensive Player of the Week, got the scoring started in the 16th minute when he finished off a well-placed Zach Ullum corner kick insertion to put Penn State Harrisburg on top early in the first half.

The Eagles got off just two shots in the opening half, with one sailing wide and the other taken care of by Blue & White goalkeeper Nicholas Guglielmetti. The visitors held the deficit to one into the second half but Aman got loose again in the 69th minute. After connecting with a pass from Luke Myers, he fired his shot past Arun Subramanian and into the back of the net to double the Lions' advantage with 20:08 left to play.

Penn State Harrisburg's defenders did not allow a Juniata attempt in the final 54:36, securing the team's second consecutive shutout victory.
