Guglielmetti Earns NEAC Weekly Honors

LATHAM, N.Y. – Thanks to his efforts in a victory over the weekend, Penn State Harrisburg's Nicholas Guglielmetti has been named the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

It is Gulgielmetti's second such accolade of the season. He joins teammates Joey Aman, Jared Brewer, Shammah Gahomera and Luke Myers as Penn State Harrisburg players to earn the conference's weekly honor this fall.

The Rochester, Mich. native made four stops in net to preserve a 4-0 victory at Wells on Saturday afternoon. It was the junior's 10th shutout of the season; a number good enough to rank him second among NCAA Division III goalkeepers. He improved his conference-leading goals-against average to 0.72 and helped the Lions extend their recent shutout streak to four games.

The Blue & White (13-4, 9-0 NEAC) return to action when they host league foe SUNY Poly at Nittany Soccer Field on Friday afternoon, Nov. 1.
