Harrisburg Beats Berks; Improves To 6-0

Harrisburg, Pa.  The Penn State Harrisburg soccer team used goals from Joey Aman, Toma Nichik, and Christian Schmoyer to pick up a 4-0 win over Penn State Berks. The Lions dominated play taking 14 shots, 12 of which were on goal.

How it Happened:

Joey Aman got the Lions on the board in the 9th minute when his shot from on the end line found its way into the back of the net. In the 29th minute, Dustin Rohrbach would place a free kick at the feet of Aman, who would then burry it inside the right post giving Harrisburg a 2-0 advantage. Aman has now seven goals this season. The Lions would hold the advantage for the rest of the first half.

 

Harrisburg would increase its advantage in the 65th minute when an Aaron Cummings cross found a sliding Toma Nichik in the box and Nichik would redirect the ball into the corner of the goal. The Blue & White would strike one last time in the 75th minute. Azeem Peters shot was save by the Berks goalie, but he could not control it. The loose ball rolled to Christian Schmoyer who drove it in the back of the net, putting the Lions ahead 4-0.
