Penn State Harrisburg sophomore Brandon Hoover was awarded as the CAC Defensive Player of the Week after totaling 12 saves in helping the Lions secure a CAC playoff bid with a pair of key wins last week. Hoover opened the week with four saves in a shutout 1-0 triumph over Frostburg State, before turning back eight shots in a 3-1 triumph over 11th-ranked Christopher Newport.
The Lions travel to Mary Washington Wednesday in hopes of getting a win and a possible bye into the semi-finals of the Capital Ahtletic Conference playoffs.
