Penn State Harrisburg Wins Final Tune Up

Penn State Harrisburg traveled to Chambersburg Pa, to compete in the Wilson College Invitational. The Blue and White dominated the three team field and won the tournament in their final tune up before they travel to Newport News Va, for the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Championship.

The Lions came in to the invitational to show why they think they can contend for the CAC Championship, beating the second place Eastern University by 39 strokes. Tyler Shank (Palmyra, Pa. / Palmyra Area) took his 1st tournament win of the season scoring a 77 (+4) on the day which gave him the one stroke win over Ryan Torresin of Eastern. The Lions were able to finish the tournament with all five golfers in the top eight with Collin Hagenbuch (Easton, Pa / Wilson) finishing 4th (80, +7), Keith Miller (Pittsburgh, Pa / Thomas Jefferson) Finishing 5th (81, +8), and Tyler Massar (Lebanon, Pa / Cedar Crest) Finishing 6th (83, +10).

After finishing their regular season the Lions will travel to Christopher Newport University to compete in the CAC Championship starting Saturday April 18th and running through Sunday April 19th, the event is set to start at Noon on Saturday and 8 a.m. on Sunday.
