Golf Team Finishes Fall Season with Win

The Penn State-Harrisburg golf team closed out the fall season with a bang, beating seven other teams to win the Rutgers-Camden Scarlet Raptor Fall Invitational.  The Lions' score of 320 actually tied Rutgers-Camden, but Penn State Harrisburg was declared the winner due to a better fifth player score.

Senior Geoff Morrison led the way for the Lions, firing a 5-over 75.  Morrison played his first six holes 4-over par.

This is the second tournament win of the fall for Penn State Harrisburg, as they also won the Penn State Harrisburg Fall Classic last month.  In addition, the Lions recorded a second place finish at the Susquehanna University Fall Invitational Sept. 25.

The Lions will now hibernate for the winter, as they begin their spring season in March.  Penn State-Harrisburg will host the Northeast Athletic Conference championship April 26-27, with an NCAA championship berth at stake.
