2009 Penn State Harrisburg´s Fall Golf Invitational

MIDDLETOWN, PA - Penn State Harrisburg hosted the 3rd annual Penn State-Harrisburg Fall Invitational held at the Dauphin Highlands Golf Course on Monday, September 14. Among the competing schools were local colleges such as, York College, Elizabethtown, Dickinson and Penn State Berks. Also competing were the 2009 NEAC champions, Rutgers-Camden, Albright, Alvernia, Cabrini, Hood, Stevenson and SUNY-Cobleskill.

York College was able to grab their second straight victory in this Invitational, shooting a tournament record, 309. Stevenson University was not far behind shooting a 310. Penn State Harrisburg was able to grab third place with a 311 ahead of the defending 2009 NEAC champions´ 312.

Brian Herman of Rutgers-Camden finished with a course record of 70 on the day ahead of second place Michael Ryan of Cabrini who shot a 74 on the round.

As for the Lions, sophomore Max Hrip (Mechanicsburg, PA/Cumberland Valley) was able to shoot the low for the blue and white with a 76 followed by junior Shane Woodman (Marietta, PA/Donegal), 77, and junior Brad Goss (Palmyra, PA/Palmyra), 78. Freshman C.J. Geis (Harrisburg, PA/Bishop McDevitt) finished out the Lions´ scoring with an 80.
