Day One of NEAC Golf Championship

MIDDLETOWN, PA - The Penn State Harrisburg golf team sits eight shots behind Rutgers-Camden after the first day of the NEAC championships in Cherry Hill, NJ. 

The Lions shot 326, were led by Max Hrip's 78 and Shane Woodman's 80.  Hrip, Woodman, and Josh Goodling (81) all sit in the top 10 individual players after one round.  Other Penn State Harrisburg scores include Geoff Morrison (83), Bobby Proietto (85), and Brad Goss (86).

The two-time defending champion Scarlet Raptors were led by a 76 from Alex Taylor, the second best round of the day.  Rich Mann of SUNY-Cobleskill leads the field after firing a 73.  The Fighting Tigers are in third, with a team score of 335.

The second, and final, round gets underway Friday with a 12 noon shotgun start at Pennsauken Country Club.
