Golf Earns Second Place Finish in NEAC Championship

MIDDLETOWN, PA - The Penn State Harrisburg golf team finished second at the Northeast Athletic Conference (NEAC) championship today, firing a tournament total 641.  Rutgers-Camden won the event with a 636, although the Lions beat the Scarlet Raptors in today's second round, 315 to 318.

Three Lions were named first team all-conference -- Max Hrip (So-Cumberland Valley), Geoff Morrison (Jr-Bishop McDevitt) and Shane Woodman (Jr-Donegal).  In addition, Bobby Proietto (Fr-Lower Dauphin) was named to the third team. 

Morrison's second-round score of 76 tied the tournament low, and included a dramatic eagle at the par-4 17th.  Rich Mann of SUNY-Cobleskill was medallist, with a two-round score of 150.

The Lions have now posted three consecutive second-place finishes at the NEAC championship.
