Middletown - The Penn State Harrisburg golf team started it's spring season with a bang today, shooting a school record 314 in a quad-match at Dauphin Highlands GC. The Nittany Lions won the event, beating Elizabethtown College (327), Philadelphia Biblical University (337), and Penn State-Mont Alto (345). Nick Reed (Jr-Pine Grove) led the way with a school individual record 76, which was also good for medalist honors, the first time a Penn State Harrisburg player has medaled in any event. In addition, Geoff Morrison (77) and Andy Summers (84) shot personal bests, and Mike Sherman (79) tied his.

Penn State Harrisburg gets back into action next Monday, April 14, with another quad match at Dauphin Highlands. The Lions will be joined by Baptist Bible College, Penn State-Berks, and Susquehanna University.
