Lions Win in First Ever Home Golf Tournament

    The Penn State-Harrisburg golf team set a school record today, shooting a 320 to win their home invitational at Dauphin Highlands Golf Course. The Nittany Lions beat Philadelphia Biblical University by three shots and Elizabethtown College by six. Philadelphia Biblical's Jared Wilcox was medalist with a 75. The victory was the first in the brief history of the Penn State-Harrisburg golf program.

    Penn State-Harrisburg freshman Shane Woodman set a new school individual record with a 77, good for second overall. "I just felt really comfortable today", Woodman said after his round.

    The 320 score represents a 63 shot improvement over the Lions previous tournament score, Monday at Penn State-Altoona. Penn State-Harrisburg swings back into action Friday at the Susquehanna Invitational at Edgewood-In-The-Pines in Drums, PA.
