Volleyball Trio Earns All-Conference Recognition

LATHAM, N.Y. - Thanks to their strong play during the 2023 season, Penn State Harrisburg women's volleyball players Julia Choe, Hannah DeGregory, and Camryn Wettstone have earned United East Volt Division All-Conference recognition.

 

Choe, DeGregory, and Wettstone were each named to the United East Volt Division All-Conference Second Team for their efforts.

 

Choe turned in a stellar senior campaign that saw her set a new single-season program record with 483 total digs. The libero also added 50 service aces and 53 assists. The Sterling, Va. native finished her career with 797 digs - the third-highest total in program history. Her 140 career service aces also rank second in Penn State Harrisburg history. Earlier this fall, Choe racked up a career-high 30 digs in a match at Rutgers-Camden and she was named the United East Volt Division Defensive Player of the Week in mid-September.

 

DeGregory had a breakout sophomore season during which her versatility was on full display. The Fairfax, Va. native contributed all over the court, racking up 206 kills to go along with 254 assists, 210 digs, 45 service aces, and 47 total blocks. The setter/hitter recorded a team-high 276 total points on the year. 

 

Wettstone made an immediate impact during her freshman campaign. The rookie led the team with 213 kills and contributed on the defensive side as well, tallying 107 digs and 36 total blocks. The Topsfield, Mass. native added a dozen service aces to record 248 total points on the season.
