LATHAM, N.Y. - Penn State Harrisburg women's volleyball player Julia Choe has been named the United East Women's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week - Volt Division.
Choe was stellar from her libero position last week, helping lead the Lions (5-5) to a pair of victories. The senior racked up 67 total digs across four outings and recorded a career-high 30 digs in a five-set contest at Rutgers-Camden on Saturday afternoon. For the week, the Sterling, Va. native averaged more than 17 digs per match and nearly four and a half digs per set to go along with seven service aces and six assists. Choe currently leads the United East - Volt Division with 164 total digs on the season.
The Lions return to action when they host Marywood for a non-conference tilt at the Capital Union Building on Thursday night.
