Ebaugh Named DPOY to Lead All-Conference Selections

LATHAM, N.Y. – Penn State Harrisburg's Brittany Ebaugh has been named the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Women's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Year. She was joined by teammates Alexis Imler and Katelyn Kreider as all-conference selections.

 

In addition to her defensive player of the year moniker, Ebaugh was also named to the NEAC All-Conference First Team. Imler was pegged second-team all-conference and Kreider was named an all-conference third team honoree.

 

Ebaugh, a team captain, leads the nation in solo blocks (70), ranks third in the country in total blocks (139) and is sixth among NCAA Division III players in blocks per set (1.25). The senior leads the NEAC with a .364 hitting percentage, ranks sixth among conference players with 400.5 total points and currently sits seventh in the league with 292 kills. The Stewartstown, Pa. native recently became the first player in school history to surpass 1,000 points for her career. The middle blocker is also the program's all-time leader in kills and blocks. Ebaugh was named the NEAC Player of the Week (9/16) and NEAC Defensive Player of the Week (11/4) earlier this season.

 

Imler proved her versatility throughout the season, serving as both a primary setter and hitter. The senior led the Lions with 408 assists. The Bedford, Pa. native added 231 digs, 160 total points, 115 kills, 40 total blocks and 20 service aces on the season. She was named the NEAC Defensive Player of the Week (9/16) earlier this fall.

 

Kreider, another of this season's team captains, also provided steady production across a number of statistical categories. The defensive specialist racked up 304 digs on the year and added 20 total blocks. When switching to her hitting position, the senior tallied 207 kills to go along with 44 service aces and 24 assists. This fall, she was responsible for 264 points.
