LATHAM, N.Y. - Penn State Harrisburg's Allison Wootton has been named the United East Women's Tennis Player of the Week - Volt Division.
Wootton's strong start to her collegiate career continued in a narrow setback against Albright on Wednesday afternoon. The freshman teamed with Breanna DeSantis to earn a thrilling, come-from-behind 8-7 (9-7) victory in the No. 1 doubles contest before clinching a 6-3, 7-6 decision in the top singles outing. With the wins, the Portage, Mich. native remained undefeated in both solo and doubles play on the young season.
Penn State Harrisburg returns to action when the team hosts Lebanon Valley at the Hoverter Tennis Complex on Tuesday afternoon.
